Linley Hill earthworks

Linley Hill earthworks

Date: 2003

Description: This aerial photograph shows a series of well-defined earthworks including, in the centre of the picture, a large and regular circular feature. The other prominent earthwork is the curving length of ditch towards the top of the photograph. It is thought that the other lump and bumps in the landscape are quarry pits and it is possible that the whole complex may be related to metal mining in the area.
