Longdon on Tern Aqueduct

Longdon on Tern Aqueduct

Date: 2003

Description: The Longdon on Tern Aqueduct is a 28 metre long cast iron trough which carried the Shrewsbury Canal high across the River Tern. It was designed by Thomas Telford and cast by William Reynolds. The canal is no longer visible but the aqueduct still stands and even held water until the 1960's.
